Summer in Black and White - Photo and Process - 24th July

£95.00

Date: Friday 24th July

Time: 8am - 3pm

Location: Shingle Street, Staverton and my studio in Hollesley.

Places available: 4

Join me for a day of two halves where we will be looking to capture summer in black and white. We will be visiting two very different locations: the coastal hamlet of Shingle Street with its white coastguard cottages, its iconic shell line and a beach full of flowers. From here we will drive 20 mins down the road to visit the ancient oaks of Staverton Thicks.

We will be looking at compositions for black and white photography working with texture and contrast to get the most from our images. We will be focusing on wider scenes and smaller details and will spend around two hours in each location.

From Staverton we will head back to the studio to discuss post processing and the various ways we can depict the landscape in monochrome. We will be looking at dark and moody versus high key shots and will be using infrared styling to simplify and process some of our woodland scenes. At the end of the workshop you will leave with a couple of A4 prints of your work.
