I am a professional landscape photographer living and working on the Suffolk Coast. I specialise in landscapes and nature photography and am passionate about promoting a connection with the environment through my work.
Since moving to Suffolk in 2007 I have spent my time photographing the local landscape and getting to know the area intimately through the lens of my camera. I am keen to share this knowledge and now specialise in photography tuition and workshops in Suffolk and Norfolk as well as residential workshops in other parts of the UK.
When I am not tutoring I am out with my camera enjoying the countryside and capturing its beauty and moods through the seasons. My images have been published widely in many photography, countryside and sailing magazines including Outdoor Photography, On Landscape, Digital Photographer, N Photo, The Countryman, BBC Countryfile, Coast Magazine, Classic Boat, Watercraft, Classic Sailor, Suffolk Magazine, Suffolk and Norfolk Life.
I was runner up in the Classic View category of Landscape Photographer of the Year (LPOTY 2021), highly commended in the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year (SLPOTY 2023) and was awarded a Silver – Gilt medal in the RHS Photography Portfolio Competition in 2021 with my ‘Enchanted Forest’ panel.
I have had the privilege of appearing on Channel 5 on Kate Humble’s Coastal Britain, discussing photography with Kate by the river at Walberswick.
I have also appeared on podcasts with Kim Grant and Neale James
In my camera bag you will find two Nikon Z8s, 24 - 70mm lens, 100-400mm lens, 105mm macro and some vintage lenses. I use Kase filters, an iFootage Gazelle Fastbowl TC7 tripod with a Leofoto VH-30R head and I carry a Shimoda Action X50 camera bag.
