Join me for a day of two halves where we will be looking to capture the Suffolk Coast in black and white. We will be visiting two nearby locations: Shingle Street and Bawdsey. Both places have something different to offer but both have huge potential for creativity.
We will be looking at compositions for black and white photography working with long exposures, minimalism and texture and contrast to get the most from our images. We will be focusing on wider scenes and smaller details and will spend around two hours in each location.
From Bawdsey we will head back to the studio to discuss post processing and the various ways we can depict the landscape in monochrome. We will be looking at dark and moody versus high key shots. At the end of the workshop you will leave with a couple of A4 prints of your work.
