North Norfolk Coast - 17th July
Date & Time:
Friday 17th July 2026 11am - 9.30pm
Workshop Details:
Join me for a day on the Norfolk Coast photographing the beauty of summer. We will be visiting Morston, Stiffkey, Burnham Overy Staithe and Thornham.
In July the the creeks are scattered with sailing boats and dinghies and the salt marsh is a purple haze of sea lavender. We will be working with both subjects to capture the beauty of summer. The workshop will begin at Morston where we will focus on the creekside and the salt marsh, we will then travel to Stiffkey to spend some time on the saltmarsh before heading to Burnham Overy Staithe to capture some of the boats in the creek at low tide. After an early dinner (not included) the workshop will finish at Thornham for high tide and hopefully some sunset colour.
The workshop includes:
A full set of course notes sent via email before the workshop
9 hours of tuition in four separate coastal locations
The option to borrow a tripod and filters if required
A 1.5 hour zoom session on Tuesday 28th July to discuss images and post processing.
Aims:
To master compositions in complex landscapes including wide angle and detail scenes
Experiment with low viewpoints for greater impact
To work with long exposure to simplify a composition
Mastering exposure and composition at sunset
