1-2-1 Tuition - Suffolk Full Day
Duration - 7 hours
One to One tuition is a great way to learn at your own pace, with individual tuition tailored especially for you.
Come on your own or bring a friend. The cost is per session.
Discover some of my favourite photographic locations in full day workshops which are designed to be relaxed and fun and will hopefully show a wilder side to the Suffolk Coast.
Learn how to take well composed beautiful images. For me photography is not all about the latest gear, it is much more about connecting with the landscape and ‘seeing’ what is around you. All my workshops are tailored to your specific requirements and we will discuss these beforehand, but typically a session will include some or all of the following:
The technical side of making a photograph. This will include camera settings, ISO, aperture and depth of field, the relationship between ISO, aperture and shutter speed, white balance and the use of filters.
‘Seeing the landscape’. This is one of the most critical elements of photography. You can be technically brilliant with the camera but if you cannot see an image or put together a successful composition you will never reach your full potential as a photographer. In this section we will practice observation and composition and work with some of the rules for composition but we will also be aware that rules are guidelines only and should never be followed to the point where they stifle your creativity.
Long exposure photography. Practicing blurring moving elements such as water, grasses or clouds.
Post processing tuition. This can be included within your session, so half the workshop could be in the field and half in my studio working on processing the images you have taken. Alternatively I offer a half day processing session using Lightroom and Photoshop.
What’s included in a full day session?
Pre session consultation usually via email to work out what you would like from your time with me
7 hours of photography tuition
Use of filters and tripod if needed
Full set of course notes
Processing tuition if required
Email follow up and critique of images after the session.
1-2-1 sessions are tailored to your requirements and we can cover any aspect of landscape photography that you would like to focus on. If you wish to discuss anything with me before you book please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
